Making Green Eggs and Ham

The 3rd/4th graders were able to participate in making green eggs and ham in celebration of Dr. Seuss' and Read Across America Day! We started out making the eggs and cooking the ham. The students are breaking the eggs.

After we broke the eggs we had to wash our hands.

Megan prepares the pan with butter.

The eggs are mixing and we are adding the food coloring to the eggs so that they will be green.

Ian is taking a turn at mixing the eggs.

Finally, the eggs are in the pan and are cooking.

The finished result!

The ham was added to the table.

After the short wait we can enjoy the food. Many were resistant to trying the green eggs and ham but they eventually all gave in and tried a bite.
