State Notebooks!

The 4th graders are in the process of completing State Notebooks. They will be working on this for 4 weeks learning all about the state that they have chosen. After the notebook is compiled, then they will present to the class some of the interesting facts that they have learned and studied about their state.

Caterpillars to Butterflies

It took only 4 weeks but shortly after Spring Break the caterpillars changed into butterflies.

They had to stay in the cage for 1 week before they were able to be released. They sucked on orange slices and sugar water while they waited to be released.

Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Mathes, Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade were able to watch the butterflies being released.

They are so pretty!! It was a great experience for the students to see the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly!

Chapel Thursdays at FBS

Every Thursday the students gather for Chapel. This is a time where the students share with the other classes the memory verses that they have learned throughout the week. Above is a picture of the 5th/6th graders leading praise time.

Reading Time is Always Fun!

Mrs. Clark is reading to the 3rd-6th graders after lunch.

The students often wait with anticipation until the next time they get to hear a story. They have read books such as Diary of a Whimpy Kid and other notable Newberry Award Authors!
